Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, in southwestern Uganda, is home to roughly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking here means joining a small group, guided by park rangers, to find one of Bwindi's habituated gorilla families on foot — a trek that can take anywhere from under an hour to most of a day, depending on where the gorillas are that morning.
Permits are limited and should be booked well ahead of travel, especially July–August and December–January. We handle permit booking as part of your itinerary.
