Detailed Itinerary; 3 Days Kigali City Tour
Day 1: Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial
After your morning breakfast at the hotel, our guide/driver will pick you up and depart for the Kigali Genocide memorial which is an emotional as well as educative tour honoring the victims of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi. This will take approximately 2-3hours as you get to find out the reasons behind this tribal ethnic violence between the Tutsi who were the victims and the Hutus who were the perpetrators. Afterward, they will proceed to the other genocide Memorial places such as the Belgian peacekeepers Memorial which was opened in the commemoration of the Belgian soldiers who are represented by the ten stone pillars which are put in place, and afterward, stop at New Cactus for lunch? Immediately after lunch, you will proceed to the Nyanza Genocide memorial which features the tiled tops of 4 mass graves of over 4000 Tutsis. Later on head to Nyampinga women’s cooperative which produces the finest coffee in Rwanda and while there, the coffee lovers will have a chance to know what it takes to produce one of the world-class coffee before retiring to the hotel overnight and having dinner.

Day 2: Kandt House Museum and Arts Galleries
After your delicious morning meal, you will have a guided tour to the Kandt house museum which was the former house of the first German Governor in the 19th Century this museum depicts the Colonial period in Rwanda in the late 19th Century. It’s a house of history whereby you will get to know about the foundation of Kigali as a capital. Kandt house museum is also a natural museum that has a small zoo with some animals which makes it worth visiting and it only takes 1-2hours. Afterward, you will head to Niyo Arts Gallery an absolutely amazing colorful place of creativity where Rwandan artists come and experiment with their art in form of painting, sculptures, dance, music, and drumming which helps them to explore their talents as well as freely express themselves. Have lunch at Shokola café as you relax for some time and later on proceed to Inema Arts Centre which was founded by two brothers in order to help people discover and use their artistic talent.
