Lake Mburo National Park Uganda
Lake Mburo National Park is situated in western Uganda in Kiruhura district in western Uganda. The park is situated about 30 km east of the city of Mbarara, the biggest city of the province of L, from Mbarara district. National park of Mburo, one of the biggest in Uganda amongst the five lakes, barely spans 370 km2 and comprises of five lakes. National Park Lake Mburo is located in the villages and takes approximately 4 hours to reach Masaka and Mbarara. There are many animal species in the reserve, such as Zebras, Hippos, Impala Warthog, African Buffalo, Jackal and Eland, recently translocated giraffes. During the boat cruise, you will have an opportunity to spot the hippos and the crocodiles in the waters. The park, is also harbours an array of different bird species with over 350 bird species including the water birds, savannah birds and the forest birds.
Lake Mburo national park, has got various attractions that have offered a number of activities for the victors visiting the park. some of the most common activities for the visitors in lake Mburo national park include; Game drives in the park that will expose to a wider array of game, boat cruise in lake Mburo, Nature walks, bird watching, the unique horse riding around the park for animal viewing, cultural tours, cycling, fishing, among others. To access the park, the park Can be accessed in two gates, you can reach the park from Sanga gate which is easiest way to access the park when one is driving from Kampala side and Nshara gate accessible when one is coming from Mbarara side.
