Rwanda Safaris | Rwanda Cultural Chimps Trek

Day 1: Arrival and an adventurous city Tour.

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be accompanied by a tour operator from a company to the capital Kigali for a tour if there is time. You will visit the genocide memorial, art & craft shops, local markets, pottery projects and other exciting places. Dine and sleep at Chez Lando hotel or in Okapi Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.

After breakfast depart for Nyungwe Forest National Park making a stop on the way at the ancient palace in Nyanza where you will discover more about Rwanda’s history and ancient life, before continuing to the park. Dine and sleep in Gisakura Guest House.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking

After a tasty breakfast start out on chimpanzee tracking which begins at 6:00am. During this expedition you will track other primates like colobus monkeys and also have the opportunity to see other residents of the forest such as birds, butterflies and reptiles. After lunch there will be an optional nature trek through in the verdant forest. Dine and sleep at Gisakuru Guest house.

Day 4: A visit to the cultural Museum plus departure

Following breakfast you will depart for Kigali for a tour in Butare where you will visit the cultural museum before proceeding to Kigali Airport to catch your flight.
